TLC Programming

In response to Michelle's query.

Who watches that?
I DO.

I've seen all the shows on the 700-ish pound man. It was only last week that my sister and I watched "My Skin Could Kill Me" , not because we wanted to, oh no, but because we couldn't look away. It was so tragic, I wanted to cry - and yes, it made me very, very glad that I am healthy. There is so much to be thankful for, the foremost of which is your health!

Watch the show here, read about Harlequin-type Ichthyosis here.
Amazing! Everyone watch this.

The Mentalist

The Mentalist is my favourite show on television. You ladies probably don't watch a lot of TV, but seriously - is he a dreamy hunk or what?

I know he looks a little like a ken doll in this picture, but on the show he is always laughing and smiling. I like people like that, it makes me want to be around them!

I know he is married, but I would love to write him fan mail. Do you girls know where one would get his contact information?

ex.

Dear Mr. Baker,

Hi! I love your television show, The Mentalist. I find your character's confidence and cheerfulness to be very attractive. Would you say you posses these qualities in real life? I'm sure that you do, you seem sincerely positive on television. In my fantasies, you have a GIGANTIC cock. It's okay if you don't in real life. I heard many celebrities are shorter in real life. I know that you are married, but I think even married men, sometimes especially married men, like to hear that young women find them attractive. I think you're dreamy!

Although I am probably not your biggest fan (because I haven't seen any of your movies), I would love it if you wrote back to me. I am a 22 year old Canadian University student and my dream is to travel to Japan or be a Disney princess - hopefully both! I read that you are Australian, did you have to see a speech therapist? On the show you don't sound Australian at all.

Your adoring, nubile, sexy, young fan,
- Kiera

theme...Help Me!

Why yes, there is a pattern to today's posts.

I NEED YOU!

I have gotten the best, best, best news! Kim and I will be go-go dancing at Lucky Bar for New Year's Eve and their party theme is...DISCO FEVER! EXCITEMENT!!!!

So, I want to wear my gold go-go boots and lots of gold make up. What I need is a gold sequined/ shiny dress. I prefer a halter but anything with straps is fine. I can't find anything even close on the internet and I've been on for hours. I am going to go to H+M boxing day afternoon/evening to look for one of these and I'm seeing what I can find at the mall tomorrow too.

thanks in advance for peeking around for me!

Hello Kitty Christmas!

Alright, so the always magical Veronica got me Hello Kitty jam-jam pants. (Yes, I call them that. Or jammies. Or jammie pants.) AND she also got me Hello Kitty panties. Now, I wish I could afford the $4,500 Hello Kitty Diamond Ring or the $120.00 Tarina Tarantino Pendant Necklace.

It should come as no surprise that Hello Kitty brand merchandise includes EVERYTHING. It is hilariously documented on one of my fav blogs: Hello Kitty Hell.

But! I was cruising the sanrio website and found the following:

A toaster that burns Hello Kitty's face onto my toast! Just what I've always wanted. A miniature tea set, for my sister, who collects tea cups and loves miniature things! The glamor-eskimo hello kitty plush doll! Imitation chanel quilted, chain-shoulder purse! A hello kitty throw blanket!

So much hello kitty stuff, so little time.

Lily Allen - The Fear

Alright, so as I'm sure you have gathered, I have been watching a lot of tv lately, music videos included. That is how I celebrate the holidays...and every other time of year.

The video the blogosphere is adoring right now is Lily Allen's "the fear". I have always liked her style - my memory tells me it includes designs by Baby, The Stars Shine Bright and Tarina Tarantino.

In the video, she wears only one dress, this one: I will go tentitavly ahead and say it's a shift dress.

Veronica, what do you call the type of school-girl/sailor-girl collar emulated on the front of this dress? I love the keyhole detail on the back of the dress, the big bow on the front and I now must officially buy a pair of sheer black tights.

My only problem is - who designed this dress? Where could I buy it or dresses like it? I suspect it could be the Atelier Pierrot House Brand or Emily Temple Cute - both are japanese brands, however, they don't really do shift dresses. The video (the first part? because isn't the second supposed to be the palace of Versailles?) was filmed somewhere in England. So wouldn't it be styled by the English? hmmm.... please help me with this mystery.

Tim Gunn

HAS A TV SHOW. "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style"

Why was I not informed? It is so awesome! It is like a much, much better version of what not to wear...and it has Tim Gunn. I HAVE A HUGE CRUSH ON HIM. Seriously, when he says "make it work" , I feel like he is speaking to my panties.

Okay, so, tell me, is he "over" or something? Is he uncool? is his show?

I am not going to stop watching the show, I'm just checking whether or not I should keep our affair a secret.
thank you!
