Alright, so as I'm sure you have gathered, I have been watching a lot of tv lately, music videos included. That is how I celebrate the holidays...and every other time of year.
The video the blogosphere is adoring right now is Lily Allen's "the fear". I have always liked her style - my memory tells me it includes designs by Baby, The Stars Shine Bright and Tarina Tarantino. In the video, she wears only one dress, this one: I will go tentitavly ahead and say it's a shift dress.
Veronica, what do you call the type of school-girl/sailor-girl collar emulated on the front of this dress? I love the keyhole detail on the back of the dress, the big bow on the front and I now must officially buy a pair of sheer black tights.
My only problem is - who designed this dress? Where could I buy it or dresses like it? I suspect it could be the Atelier Pierrot House Brand or Emily Temple Cute - both are japanese brands, however, they don't really do shift dresses. The video (the first part? because isn't the second supposed to be the palace of Versailles?) was filmed somewhere in England. So wouldn't it be styled by the English? hmmm.... please help me with this mystery.

Atelier Pierrot House Brand vs. Emily Temple Cute, two examples.

FYI that type of collar is called a "Wendy collar" - it was big in the 60's.
