If anyone is disappointed by the way the internet was hyped by sci-fi in the eighties and nineties or by films like Johnny Nemonic (okay, I guess what I'm really saying is, "Hey, Nathan"...) - and hoped information would be like drugs and the internet would be like a universe/city/love hotel a la Reboot, Futurama, ect, ect, ect.

just reading this makes me think perhaps sci fi was right and all of us are just "doing it wrong"
